Cape Coral is a paradise for fishermen, as you can do saltwater and freshwater fishing in our canals and of course hook all kinds of fish in the Caloosahatchee River and out on the Gulf of Mexico.

In the river and Gulf you’ll be able to catch sea trout, stingrays, puffers, sheepshead, whiting, jack, catfish of various species (some are venomous) and even smaller sharks. In the salt water canals and the eight lakes you get more or less the same species less the sting rays and trout. But you get quite a few small snappers of different types. The fresh water canals hold catfish, small alligator gar and even large mouth bass.

If you have time, take a look around the Bass Pro shop at Gulf Coast Town Center, you’ll love it!
